Though her date of origin remains unknown, 78271 first entered the public spotlight at the 2016 China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, where she appeared alongside 78272 wearing a distinctive splinter camouflage scheme, marking her first public debut.

She would later enter service with the 176th Air Brigade, a unit widely regarded as China's premier operational test and evaluation organization.

Although little is publicly known about her subsequent career, she is believed to remain with the 176th Air Brigade to this day. As a result, her role is likely less focused on routine frontline operations and more centered on testing, evaluation, and the continued development of her capabilities.
